Course Description

The Consultant Already in You is a structured, experiential workshop series designed to help professionals identify, package and activate their consulting capabilities. Through guided reflection, practical tools, collaborative learning and real-time practice, participants will gain clarity around their value, define their consulting niche, and develop a road map to begin positioning themselves as consultants — internally or externally.

 

Course Outline

The Consultant Already in You workshop series is intentionally designed as a progressive learning experience, with each session building on the previous one. Participants move from identifying and reframing their existing expertise to clearly defining a consulting focus, positioning their value, and developing an actionable road map for implementation. The structure balances strategic insight with practical application, ensuring participants leave each session with tangible outcomes and increasing clarity around how to activate their consulting capabilities.

 

Session 1: Identifying Your Consulting Strengths

Participants examine their corporate experience through a consulting lens, identifying transferable skills, patterns of expertise, and value they already deliver.

Measurable Outcomes:

  • Participants identify five to seven consulting-ready skills.
  • Participants articulate at least one core area of consulting strength.
  • Participants develop confidence in reframing experience as consulting value.

 

Session 2: Defining Your Consulting Niche and Offer

Participants clarify a consulting niche and design a starter consulting offer aligned with their expertise and target audience.

Measurable Outcomes:

  • Participants define a clear consulting niche or focus area.
  • Participants develop a draft consulting offer (problem, solution and deliverables).
  • Participants identify their target client profile.

 

Session 3: Pricing, Positioning and Communicating Value

Participants establish a preliminary pricing structure and strengthen their ability to clearly communicate their consulting value.

Measurable Outcomes:

  • Participants develop an initial pricing framework.
  • Participants craft a concise value proposition.
  • Participants practice and refine a client-ready introduction or pitch.

 

Session 4: Building a Practical Consulting Road Map

Participants translate their insights into a structured 30-day action plan to begin activating their consulting offer.

Measurable Outcomes:

  • Participants complete a personalized 30-day consulting road map.
  • Participants identify three to five concrete next steps toward implementation.
  • Participants establish peer accountability or follow-up actions.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion, participants will walk away with:

  • A precise articulation of the expertise that makes them hire-worthy as a consultant
  • A defined consulting niche and a structured starter offer
  • A pricing and value-positioning framework they can actually use
  • A personalized 30-day action plan to activate their consulting goals
  • The ability to communicate their value in ways that command attention — and fees
