Course Description

Learn how to create part programs for 3-axis machining centers and 2-axis lathes using MasterCAM 2025 software. 

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Create and modify 2D geometry for both mill and lathe applications
  • Develop facing, drilling, contouring and pocketing toolpaths for mills
  • Develop facing, roughing, finishing, grooving and threading toolpaths for lathes
  • Use the operations manager to generate and modify toolpaths
  • Verify toolpaths and run simulation
  • Modify and add tools to a tool library
  • Post-process to create G and M code programs
  • Import CAD geometry and generate toolpaths
