Course Description

This four-hour ISO 14001:2026 transition training workshop will emphasize the key changes from ISO 14001:2015 to ISO 14001:2026. Topics include the revision timeline, terminology, key changes, EMS transition planning and auditor considerations. This transition workshop is designed for experienced ISO 14001 auditors and environmental professionals already familiar with ISO 14001:2015. 

Learner Outcomes

Objectives

  • Gain the knowledge regarding the clauses, requirements and definitions that have been added, revised or clarified for ISO 14001:2026
  • Identify and compare the key differences between ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 14001:2026: what the changes mean for the EMS and auditors
  • Understand and prepare to transition from ISO 14001:2015 to ISO 14001:2026: actions needed for an effective transition
  • Determine how changes affect existing documented information
  • Apply the revised requirements when planning audits and evaluating conformity

Notes

Prerequisite: Prior knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system requirements, auditing and implementation processes. This course teaches the changes only — it is not a full clause-by-clause course.

Audience: Anyone with knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 who needs to move to the 2026 edition.
