During the pandemic the STNA classes are hybrid. The lectures are online in Blackboard and some of the lectures will also be available through Zoom meets. In order to do the required lectures, a computer and internet access will be needed. Tri-C has a Blackboard app for mobile phones that can also be used (adequate data on your phone plan will be needed). The students will be required to come to the College to learn skills and participate in clinicals wearing a mask and social distancing (classes are being held at the Metro campus, 2415 Woodland, in the Manufacturing Technology Building). At this time, no health requirements or background checks are needed because the classes cannot hold clinicals in a nursing home. This could change at any time and will be posted on this site at that time. For now the only requirements are nursing scrubs, any color or print and a white or black clinical shoe (tennis shoes are fine) which the student must purchase. If you have any questions, please contact maryann.schrembeck@tri-c.edu. Once you are registered, you will get an email from me with more information. If you are having trouble registering online, please email WorkforceWestshore@tri-c.edu and include your phone number so someone can call you back. Please check the website for information about applying for a scholarship, https://www.tri-c.edu/workforce/health-care-training/documents/scholarship-instructions.pdf. Please note: No refunds will be issued after the class starts.
