Course Description

Police Motorcycle Instructor Recertification is an eight-hour course that allows police motorcycle instructors to maintain their qualifications as instructors. Improve operator safety by ensuring your department's motorcycle instructors are recertified.

Our lead instructors are highly trained, vastly experienced riders who promote safety and camaraderie while simultaneously increasing the skill level of police motorcycle officers.

"Hands down, the best two instructors I've ever had!"

"Only reason I passed."

"Very knowledgeable — much experience."

Course Outline

This recertification is good for three years, with an additional 90-day grace period. Each instructor must operate their police motorcycle during the course and will complete both verbal instruction and a riding demonstration of at least one event. This is to ensure the instructors are still able to properly inform police motorcycle operator students verbally and visually.

Requirements:

  • Proof of current Police Motorcycle Instructor certification
  • Department motorcycle or equivalent, over-the-ankle footwear, long pants (no holes), long-sleeved shirt or jacket, full-fingered gloves, eye protection and DOT-certified helmet

Class is held rain or shine, so dress for the weather.

Learner Outcomes

Participants receive digital certification (.8 CEUs) upon successful completion of the course and build confidence in their riding abilities.
