Course Description

See Trail Magic: The Grandma Gatewood Story, an Emmy-nominated documentary, and celebrate the 70th anniversary of Ohioan Emma Gatewood’s historic solo hike on the Appalachian Trail. When she did it in 1955, she was the first woman to make the hike. She was 67 years old at the time, had raised 11 children and survived domestic abuse. A Q&A will follow the film.
