Course Description

This course prepare individuals to perform emergency rescues for themselves and their coworkers. Training and education is provided on safety requirements for person fall arrest systems, guidelines for minimum requirements for a managed fall protection program, and safety requirements for positioning and travel restraint systems to help prevent falls.

Topics include basic and specialized equipment, ropes and rigging, safety requirements and considerations, scene management and organization, hazard identification, ropes and rigging, ascending/descending, belaying, lowering and raising systems, and litter management in an industrial environment.
