Course Description

This hybrid course uses a combination of online and face-to-face training to prepare students for the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential exam. Students will learn medical coding, anatomy & physiology and medical terminology, using AAPC's Professional Medical Coding curriculum.

Online training with face-to-face classroom sessions.

Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be prepared to pass the AAPC Certified Professional Coder national exam and earn the CPC credential.

Notes

High School Diploma/GED minimum requirement.

Students are encouraged to have the below items:

Rolling Backpack/Wheeled Bookbag/Rolling Carrying Case

Medical Dictionary, any publisher

Highlighters (several colors)

Colored Pencils

Flashcards

Classroom Training (12 sessions) - 9am to noon on Saturdays.
