Course Description

To write well, you must follow the rules, so that you can best make yourself understood. We will review some basic grammar and look at correcting common mistakes that can make our writing harder to read.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Identify what is meant by grammar, usage and mechanics
  • Identify the parts of speech and parts of a sentence.
  • Identify the correct use of nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs.
  • Identify the correct use of complements, phrases, and clauses


Participants will have 180 days to complete this self-paced online course.

All necessary course materials are included.
