Course Description

Photographic Explorations

In this 14-week class students will explore the world of photography using cell phones or digital cameras in a virtual setting. Students will learn to manipulate their images via free apps for manual camera controls and the free online editing app Photopea.

Students will explore various photographic styles and subject matter while learning about compositions, lighting, and the elements and principles of design by completing projects that will create work that will be displayed in public art exhibitions. Instructors will manage the class using Google Classroom and Google Meet. Instructors will plan outside socially-distanced photoshoots if possible, and will feature guest artist visits through remote learning.

Class enrollment is limited. This free, noncredit course is part of the Cleveland Print Room’s Teen Institute Arts Mastery Program.

Space is limited. Only 20 spots available. Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m.
