Course Description

The Tri-C JazzFest Academy Introductory Class, part of the Tri-C® Creative Arts Academy, is a 12-week online series designed to introduce students in grades 4^th to 10th to the foundation of jazz rhythm, melody, basic theory, and learning to use creative skills to improvise. This class is for students on any instrument or voice, and no previous experience is required. Students will access virtual class activities through Flipgrid, and will have the opportunity to join 3 live interactive sessions with Director and internationally acclaimed artist Dominick Farinacci. Separate material for intermediate and advanced students is also available. Students will be able to join our Tri-C JazzFest Academy Program resuming in Fall 2020.
