ZLAW1191 - Advanced Emergency Night Driving

Course Description

This comprehensive 8-hour course is specifically designed for law enforcement personnel only and requires department approval. It includes both classroom and hands-on training in the specific hazards of nighttime illumination, multitasking, vehicle dynamics, Ohio Revised Codes, police liability, and decision-making skills.  Our experienced instructors have received outstanding evaluations for subject matter knowledge, patience when addressing problem areas for students, and use of effective practical exercises.  

Course Outline

Preliminary statistics on accidental deaths of law enforcement officers indicate a 44.5 % increase in the first 7 months of 2024 when compared to the first 7 months of 2023. Those deaths were primarily due to motor vehicle accidents. (le.fbi.gov)
