Course Description

This course expands on your knowledge to install, configure (OSPF in IPv4 and IPv6), operate and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. Also covered will be Quality-of-Service (QoS) elements and their applicability.

Through hands-on labs and lectures you prepare for the second step on your path to CCNA Routing and Switching certification Exam (200-301).

Course Outline

This course, will teach you how to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot small to medium sized Cisco networks for increased effectiveness and performance.

Also will be covered how device management can be implemented, and a summary of network Automation and Programmability.

Security Fundamentals

Describe remote access and site-to-site VPNs

Configure and verify access control lists

Configure Layer 2 security features (DHCP snooping, dynamic ARP inspection, and port security)

Differentiate authentication, authorization, and accounting concepts

Compare IPv6 address types

Describe wireless principles

Describe wireless security protocols (WPA, WPA2, and WPA3)

Configure WLAN using WPA2 PSK using the GUI

Automation and their influences on network management

Compare traditional networks with controller-based networking

Describe controller-based and software defined architectures (overlay, underlay, and fabric)

Separation of control plane and data plane

North-bound and south-bound APIs

A CCNA Vol.1 is also a prerequisite for the recognized track of the CCNA (200-301) Routing and Switching certification.
