Course Description

This course gives students the technical skills required to write basic Transact-SQL queries for Microsoft SQL Server 2008. Students will be introduced to client/server architecture and will examine various database and business tasks that can be performed using SQL Server 2008. They will also be introduced to SQL Server database concepts such as relational databases, normalization and database objects.

Please Note:  Our online courses are instructor-led virtual courses that require live interaction between our instructors and students on assigned days and activities.

Course Outline

Students will create SQL SELECT statements; create SQL INSERT- UPDATE and DELETE; perform data updates, inserts and deletions; sort, filter, summarize and group data; utilize sub-queries; perform table joins; and manipulate data to modify and summarize results for reporting.
