Course Description

Part of the United Church of Christ, Pilgrim Congregational has one of the largest and most diverse congregations of any area church. Founded in 1859, it was the first church west of the Cuyahoga River to use electricity. Its expansive renovation and restoration history is truly amazing. Learn about the "Akron Plan," observe the famous restored Ferrand & Vortey pipe organ and climb the stairs to observe the original tube and wiring system used to control the church’s movable walls.
