Modernism: Early 20th Century Art
Arielle Levine, Museum Master Teacher

An introduction to Fauvism, Cubism, Surrealism and other selected movements in early 20th century art. Explore the visual innovations of artists such as Matisse, Picasso, Mondrian and Miró in a period marked by the primacy of personal expression over a realistic rendering of the world. We will have a special focus on Picasso, discussing works related to rescheduled exhibit Picasso and Paper, opening Sept. 22.

Following the virtual presentation, registrants will receive a ticket to the Picasso and Paper exhibit. Due to the ongoing public health crisis, audio tour/docent availability cannot be confirmed at this time.
