Course Description

Dance Academy (Ages 3-18)

Dance Academy students train in the fundamentals of ballet and explore creativity through modern dance. This class emphasizes contemporary techniques to develop coordination, musicality, strength, flexibility, and alignment. Students learn basic ballet and modern dance techniques, floor work, center work and movement across the floor. Instruction in creative improvisation, performance development, choreography, and composition skills will culminate with a final performance.

For students that are new to the Academy, you will need to submit an audition video so our instructors can place you in the appropriate skill level. Instructions on how to send an audition video will be sent to you after your registration is processed.

Once students are grouped by skill level, they will be sent a specific weekly schedule based on their level. Rehearsals will take place on Saturdays and select weeknights.

During this difficult time of economic transition, we will keep programs free for our students and their families, but if you are willing and able to support us in this effort, please donate here. Tri-C Creative Arts Academy Donate: Cleveland Ohio
