Course Description

This introductory course explains the primary essentials of the 7-Step AIAG-VDA PFMEA, detailing changes and additions between this and the AIAG 4th ed. PFMEA. The new AIAG-VDA FMEA Handbook endorses the utilization of this process-oriented methodology, intended to help suppliers meet the product performance requirements of global automakers. As the most commonly used risk analysis method in the automotive industry, PFMEA helps suppliers predict and prevent failures in part production processes.

Notes

Classes are open forums, with involvement encouraged from all participants. There will be a worksheet exercise after each step of the revised process is reviewed to compare it to the current AIAG 4th ed. PFMEA.
