Course Description

The Tri-C West Youth Honors Wind Ensemble presents instrumental music in a dynamic, intense and fun way that incorporates instruction in all of the elements necessary to deeply learn how to play in a high leverage wind ensemble setting

By focusing on a mastery-based approach to music education while inspiring standards of excellence, students develop lifelong musical, social, and leadership skills which help to position them for success in their everyday lives.

Course Outline

The Youth Honors Wind Ensemble Program at Tri-C West requires basic music reading skills.

1:00 to 3:00 pm – This program serves Intermediate and Advanced Woodwinds, Brass and Percussionists. 

Audition Requirements:

New student auditions are happening every Saturday. New students to the program should contact the Creative Arts Office to schedule an audition. Audition requirements include scales and repertoire that best represents the student’s ability at this time.

*String & Wind/Brass/Percussion Students that have previously participated in the program, do not need to audition.

Tuition:

The school year is divided into trimesters in an effort to accommodate student schedules and to provide an entry point for new members to audition for the ensembles throughout the year.

• Trimester 1 - $75.00
• Trimester 2 - $75.00 
• Trimester 3 - $50.00
