Course Description

This camp provides opportunities for violin, viola, cello and double bass players to polish their instrumental skills and create their own music. String ensemble classes combine with a language arts class in which students learn journaling, storytelling and poetry. Each student then selects one of their poems or stories, from which a team of classmates creates a performance with original words and music.

Three-week camp for intermediate and advanced level students entering 5th through 12th grade.

Session A string ensemble classes include orchestral and chamber repertoire, and will feature special guest artists in a workshop/performance setting. Classes will also combine with a language arts class in which students learn journaling, storytelling and poetry, collaborating with classmates to create a performance with original words and music.
