Course Description

This course prepares the line fire officer or aspiring firefighter with the knowledge and skills needed to: apply leadership principles, manage community risk reduction programs, determine fire causes, manage major fire incidents, prepare for promotion and create a self-development plan.

Learner Outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of this course, the student should be able to perform the following outcomes and supporting objectives: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1021, Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications, at the Fire Officer II level.
