Course Description

This program meets or exceeds the requirements for NFPA 1006.  This 32-hour program includes classroom and practical training, including the completion of an assignment while suspended from a rope rescue system, moving a victim, functioning as a litter tender, selecting and constructing a system, and directing a team in the operation of a system in a high-angle environment.

Notes

ALL ATTENDEES MUST BRING TO TRAINING THE FOLLOWING: Rescue Helmet with helmet light with 3-point suspension, full body harness with sternal and umbilical attachment points, and sturdy footwear, Rescue gloves, Descent Control Device (CMC Clutch preferred, Petzl ID preferred, Brake bar rack with screw link OK), Mechanical belay device (Petzl ASAP Lock with Axcess Sorber rated for 250 kg) 4 short and 1 long 8mm Prusik, AZTEK Kit (CMC or other manufacturer), 4/5 personal “T” rated carabiners and 1 “G” rated carabiner (all G rated Isom too), 1 pc of 1” tubular webbing 20 or 30 ft., 1 practice rope 8-10mm (no 1/2” for knots practice) 15 feet or longer, and a Pen.
