Course Description

Comprehensive training designed to prepare students to successfully test for the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) national examination that offers industry recognized credentials. Coursework include Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, and an AAPC Professional Medical Coding Curriculum that validates the knowledge and skills in alignment with industry standards.

Comprehensive Program is for 24 weeks including the below courses:

Professionalism

Upon successful completion of this program, eligible to sit for AAPC Certified Professional CPC national exam to earn CPC/CPC-A credential

CPC Exam Voucher issued upon successful completion and financial clearance

AAPC Annual Membership upon successful completion and financial clearance

CPC Mock Exam and Review Session

Practicodes upon successfully passing the CPC Exam to earn one-year experience toward removal of your apprentice "A" designation (optional)

Notes

Recommended to register at least 7 business days prior to program start date

Late Registration may require textbooks to be picked up from Metro Campus

Traditional/In Person program cost is $5600.00 (includes all text materials, Professionalism, CPC Mock Exam, Exam Vouchers, AAPC Membership and Practicodes)

Non-credit program and is not covered by financial aid (FAFSA, student loans, etc.)

High School Diploma/GED minimum educational requirement

There are no course prerequisites

No courses can be opted out nor accepted for credit
