Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) – Standards, Guidelines and more:

Learner Outcomes

Blackboard: Tri-C Student ID Number and Password required for access.
STNA Videos & Assignments (Computer & Internet required)
CPR: Basic Life Support CPR certification for health care providers.
Clinicals: A total of 16 hours may be held on weekdays or weekends (see schedule).
State Exam: Eligible to take the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Aide Competency Exam for certification (1st attempt only included in cost)

Notes

Attendance Required 100% for successful completion
All STNA classes are in person.
Program costs includes course materials, CPR, Professionalism, 1st State Test).
Inability to complete clinical hours will result in a no passing grade and dismissal.
Prerequisites:
Immunization Requirements: 2 Step TB testing to be completed 2 weeks PRIOR to start of classes.
High School Diploma/GED preferred or in progress. Current high school students welcomed!
Math 6th grade level and Reading 8th grade level (recommended).
There are no course prerequisites for the program.
Clinical Requirements:
Background Check (FBI & BCI) – Successful passing – Details in Orientation
2 Step TB testing
Influenza (Oct - March)
Full COVID-19 Vaccination
Uniform Requirements:
Solid navy blue nursing scrubs
White or black clinical shoes (tennis shoes are acceptable)
