Course Description

This workshop is based on the best-selling book StrengthsFinder 2.0 by Tom Rath. The accompanying assessment, developed by psychologist Donald O. Clifton, allows individuals to identify their strengths, build upon them and integrate them into their daily lives. Participants will have the opportunity to identify and learn about personal strengths, discover how their unique talents can best be used and examine how different strengths work together in the workplace.

 

Course Outline

Upon successful completion of the workshop, learners will be able to:

  • Identify their personal and professional strengths.

  • Learn and appreciate the strengths of others.

  • Identify and understand strengths on their teams.

  • Improve communication and teamwork.

Each participant is required to complete the CliftonStrengths Assessment located in the StrengthFinders 2.0 book. A copy of the book has been reserved for you in the Student Life Office upon registration. Please bring the results from your assessment to the workshop.  

This workshop is considered a learning opportunity for students participating in the Student Leadership Certificate program. To learn more about the Student Leadership Certificate program visit the Student Life office, MCC Room 200L2.
