Course Description

WWII marked the first time women pilots were trained to fly military planes. Although most weren’t allowed to fly combat missions, they provided great service to the Allied forces. Sharing both patriotism and a love of aviation, these pioneering women challenged assumptions of male supremacy in wartime culture. Learn about the brave American, British and Soviet women who trained, flew and fought for the Allies, blazing a path for women in the military.
