Course Description

Every March, people of all backgrounds celebrate the son of a Roman tax collector who was kidnapped and sold into slavery, single-handedly turning his captors and their nation to monotheism. Their descendants, suffering under oppressive foreign rule and famine, would leave their island home and arrive in North America as a shattered culture. Discover how the Irish have overcome prejudice and addiction to make an indelible mark on American society.
