Course Description
Prepare for the CompTIA A+ 220-1101 and 220-1102 certification exams with the CompTIA A+ course and lab. The lab provides a virtual environment for users to explore and learn. The CompTIA A+ Core Series 220-1101 and 220-1102 exams cover expanded content on growing IT support roles including expanded baseline security topics. The certification provides a different approach to define competency in operational procedures, including basic disaster prevention, recovery, scripting basics and a greater dependency on networking and device connectivity.

Course Outline
Identify and explain basic computer components; set up a basic workstation; describe the importance of motherboard components, including their properties and purpose; troubleshoot frequent problems related to motherboards, RAM-CPU and power with appropriate tools; describe in detail the various features and requirements of Microsoft Operating Systems Windows 7, 8 and 8.1; deploy and enforce security best practices to secure a workstation for Windows 10; describe the importance of motherboard components, including their properties and purpose; and distinguish between Internet connection network types and their features.
