Course Description

The Live Broadcast Truck Intensive Training will give students entry-level knowledge and hands-on technical training in the broadcast production agency. Industry professionals using industry-standard equipment and techniques will instruct students. Students will have the opportunity to network with professionals who regularly staff freelance positions in the broadcast industry.

Learner Outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of this course, the student should be able to perform the following tasks and supporting objectives:

1. Discuss the pre-production process for recording a live event
2. Understand the different positions in live broadcast and their duties
3. Understand industry etiquette and safety procedures
4. Understand the roles and skills that need to be developed in order to advance a live broadcasting career
5. Exposure to industry professionals
6. Understand and perform the duties of the following crew positions: director, producer, technical director, A1, A2, VA, lead replay, engineer, graphics operator, camera operator, utility and various support positions.
