Course Description

This course is designed to equip participants with essential communication tools to foster an inclusive and respectful workplace. Participants will engage in practical exercises, explore real-life scenarios, and learn strategies to address and navigate challenges related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. By the end of the course, attendees will be better prepared to contribute to a positive and equitable organizational culture.

Learner Outcomes

  • Describe what unconscious bias is, how it occurs, and how it can affect work practices.  
  • Recognize the benefits of diversity as well as its role in conflict.  
  • Leverage communication and empathy to help prevent conflict from occurring.
