Course Description

The NFPA 1006 Common Passenger and Heavy Commercial Vehicle Rescue Technician course acquaints students with techniques used in auto extrication. Students will become familiar with the different classifications and characteristics of vehicles and machines and will also become familiar with the different tools used in extrications, stabilization of the vehicle/machine, disentanglement of patients and initiating patient care. This course covers the incident command system and how to terminate the incident when finished.

Notes

 

EACH DAY STUDENT MUST BRING PROPER PPE which includes - Helmet, Steel toe or safety toe work boots, Turnout Gear/Coveralls, Long Sleeves, Eye protection, Ear protection and Gloves
